SOMETHING THAT I DON’T SEE HAPPENING IN OTHER FIELDS OF SCIENCE 7

NEVER BE ASHAMED OF HOLDING TO GOD’S WORD…EVEN WHEN IT CONTRADICTS THE REPORTED CONSENSUS OF SCIENTISTS

If you’re like me, you occasionally see headlines like “Human Evolution Rewritten: We owe our existence to our ancestor’s flexible response to climate change” (1) and you think…is it just me or do they actually not know anything about our supposed evolution from non-human organisms?

Well I think it’s safe to say it isn’t just me.
“When you look at the narrative for hominin origins, it’s just a big mess—there’s no consensus whatsoever,” said Sergio Almécija, a senior research scientist in the American Museum of Natural History’s Division of Anthropology and the lead author of the review. “People are working under completely different paradigms, and that’s SOMETHING THAT I DON’T SEE HAPPENING IN OTHER FIELDS OF SCIENCE.” (2)
(emphasis mine)

And one more goodie from (2):
“As a consequence, there is no scientific consensus on the evolutionary role played by these fossil apes.”

Shout-out to the esteemed Gunther “The Terminator” Bechly (3) for mentioning the AMNH review.

(1) Yet another “rewrite”
(2) AMNH Press release
(3) Good stuff here

[Pro 21:30 KJV] 30 [There is] no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

Me thinks that you are a tad over confident:
“In this press release the senior author of the new study, Sergio Almécija, a senior research scientist at the American Museum of Natural History, is also quoted as offering this remarkable admission: “When you look at the narrative for hominin origins, it’s just a big mess — there’s no consensus whatsoever.””
I suspect that this “remarkable admission” from Dr. Almecija is an admission that there is “no consensus whatsoever” as to the exact line of human evolution – which – if one would actually contemplate, makes perfect sense in a scientific field where scientists are constantly having to revise their current conclusions due to the constant discovery of NEW EVIDENCE, often in the form of fossils. The “no consensus whatsoever” has nothing to do with the fact that humans did indeed evolve over millions of years.
As to this “happening in other fields of science”, well of course it does. Just look at the past two years with Covid-19. Scientific (medical) conclusions and recommendations change weekly if not daily based on newly discovered evidence.

Also, Bob once sent me a quote from Robert Ingersoll about the devastating effects of thinking you needed to do something in order to escape the eternal torments of hell. Not gonna lie, I thought it was pretty solid…even if I disagree with many other things he said.

      Hello Bob,

It’s been a couple years…I hope you are doing well.

I have a rebuttal to your comment that I could offer, but I decided to hold my tongue.

We both said a bunch of stuff to each other already…and I invite anyone who’s interested in that discussion to check it out and form their own opinion.

Here’s a link to your final comment in that discussion:

And here’s a link to my response to your final comment:

I checked out your blog…I commend you for allowing funeral-goers to use your driveway for extra parking.

I never stopped praying for you, Bob.

5/16/23 edit: Hi Bob, it took me a year but I finally came to the conclusion that my original response was too extreme. Namely: although I still am declining starting a new thread with you, I’d be happy to pick up our previous thread where you left off. Links are above (Yes, but the cross (Part 3a)). I will post a comment on your blog to let you know I changed my position. Thanks again for your comment…

Greetings TFOTF, I tried to make heads or tails of our previous discussions from your blog – it’s exhausting – not your fault, likely the fault of my aging brain. At any rate, I don’t think I would be interested in picking up where we left off – as I said, exhausting (for me). But if you would like to start a new discussion on a topic of mutual interest I would be open to that, but I would have to do it via email. I just think doing it on a blog would be to difficult for me to keep up with. Of course, you would be welcome to put any discussion we have on your blog for your readers to observe.
Anyway, hope you and yours are doing well.

          Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply. I understand it’s tough sorting out all the comments from that previous discussion. I’m fine moving the discussion off that page, but I’d prefer to avoid email if possible, so I can skip the step of copying comments from email to blog.

          How about this procedure?
          1. I make a simple list of topics we discussed previously on the blog
          2. We agree on one of those topics to discuss further
          3. I create a separate blog post containing some of our previous discussion of that topic
          4. We then use the comments section of that new post to discuss said topic, and that topic only. If we decide to address other topics, a similar new blog post would be created.

          Does that sound good?

          Hope y’all are doing well…

          TFOTF
