A relationship, not a formula

I was trying to solve a hard problem at work and I prayed to God, and then I solved it. So I’m thanking God.

But why does it seem sometimes like such prayers go unanswered? I don’t always know, and that’s OK.

Should a child who doesn’t *always* get what he asks his Dad for – and doesn’t always understand the reasons – simply walk away from his father or pursue him ever closer?

It’s a relationship, not a formula.

God bless you, friend.
